Implementation

Not every organization and facility is alike – this is one of the unique challenges of workforce scheduling solutions.  Different organizational rules & processes can be problematic when trying develop a universal solution.

ScheduleExpress has been designed to be highly configurable. Thus the deployment starts with a set of interviews with the administrative components of the facility.  We record the different rules and processes, which results in a configuration document and operational recommendations to the customer. From this configuration document, we can then build the custom instance for your specific facility. 

This instance is first installed on a demo site that allows schedulers, supervisors and users to build the initial information into their database – like user IDs, shifts, patterns, roles, and schedules. A training day is scheduled, and an Inform Systems product specialist educates the users on how to build schedules, process exceptions like trades, absences, and overtime and generally become “experts” very quickly.

Once this site is complete, users trained, and the data confirmed, it is moved onto the production systems. The demo site remains “live” for training and experimentation by users – just to get the “feel” for the environment.

Then it's time for the paper-burning party!  You can now rid yourself of paper schedules, three-ring binders and manila folders – your schedules are now all on-line, active and accessible!

Although Informer Systems applications are incredibly easy to set up and use, having an expert on-call until you are independent can make the difference between success and frustration. To meet this need for expertise, we offer our Administrator Packs at an additional cost. When you purchase one of these packs you'll get a total of 10 hours of assistance from an Informer Systems expert administrator. This can be a very cost-effective way to take advantage of the knowledge of our Informer Systems administrators — the people who know our applications best — until you gain experience with the ScheduleExpress environment and become self-sufficient.
